Police Probe Death Of Woman Found In Ondo Hotel Room, Male Companion On The Run

The Ondo State Police Command has opened an investigation into the mysterious death of a woman found lifeless in a hotel room in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area.

Her body was discovered on Wednesday inside a hotel along the Ore–Okitipupa Road. The man who checked in with her earlier in the day has since vanished.

A staff member, speaking anonymously, said the pair arrived together but later, during routine checks, the woman was found dead on the bed while her male companion was nowhere to be found.

“There were no signs of struggle, no visible injuries,” the worker added. “It was shocking. The staff immediately alerted the police.”

Police spokesperson Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the development, noting that detectives have begun tracking the absconded suspect.

“Yes, the incident happened. Investigation has begun, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect,” he said.

The deceased has been moved to a nearby hospital morgue as authorities continue piecing together what happened in the hours leading to her death.
