Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu has introduced a fresh national drive focused on fighting cultism and related societal problems. Known as the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), the project seeks to curb drug dependency, violent illegal acts, and various forms of social misconduct.

According to a Sunday announcement by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, the strategy will be implemented across every state command. The initiative prioritizes early intervention, local outreach programs, and deep community involvement to address these threats at the grassroots level.

This campaign intends to foster strong ties with educational institutions, religious bodies, and various neighborhood stakeholders. By promoting ethical values and shielding youth from criminal elements, the force aims to reinforce its preventive security measures throughout the country.
