Content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely recognized as Peller, recently disclosed that he suffered sexual abuse from a football coach during his teenage years. He credits this distressing ordeal as the primary reason he walked away from his aspirations of playing professional football.
During a Monday appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller explained that the abuse occurred when he was 14 or 15 years old. He noted that the coach frequently targeted him for being unable to pay fines for arriving late to practice. Peller alleged that the coach would isolate him in an unfinished building used as a staging area, where inappropriate physical contact would occur.
Peller detailed a specific encounter in Agric, Ikorodu, where the coach lured him to his apartment under the guise of delivering an item. Once inside, the coach reportedly stripped and attempted to entice Peller into bed with promises of increased playing time. Peller managed to escape by asking to use the restroom, fleeing the scene as soon as the door was unlocked.
This traumatic event caused Peller to quit the sport entirely, eventually leading him to pursue a career in online content creation. He credited his later rise to fame on social media, including his successful partnership with Jarvis, for helping him move forward from that period of his life.
