Grammy Award-winning artist Lil Nas X entered a not guilty plea on Monday, August 25, to four felony charges stemming from an encounter with law enforcement. Authorities allege he assaulted officers who found him walking the streets of Los Angeles in his underwear.
A judge in Los Angeles set his bail at $75,000 and mandated his participation in Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Police suspect the singer was under the influence of drugs during the incident. However, his lawyer, Christy O’Connor, denied those claims, stating that Lil Nas X was not using any illegal substances and described the event as an unusual deviation from his usual behavior.
He is currently facing three felony counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of resisting arrest.
Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty after being charged with four felonies.
His bail has been set at $75,000.
