PDP Governorship Aspirant Vows to Maintain Oversight of Ebonyi Administration

Ebonyi PDP gubernatorial candidate Ifeanyi-Chukwuma Odii refutes claims of sponsoring cyberbullying, asserting his right to demand government accountability.

Ifeanyi-Chukwuma Odii, the 2027 gubernatorial candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ebonyi State, has rejected claims made by Federal Representative Chinedu Ogah. Mr. Ogah recently accused the candidate of orchestrating online harassment campaigns against the current state leadership.

Speaking in Abakaliki, Odii dismissed these assertions as unfounded efforts to silence necessary public scrutiny and distract the populace from governance failures. He argued that holding public officials accountable is a fundamental constitutional right rather than an act of criminal cyberstalking. He pointedly asked when requesting transparency regarding the use of public funds began to be classified as harassment.

Odii emphasized that evaluating government performance remains a pillar of democracy. Furthermore, he labeled allegations that he manipulated the Independent National Electoral Commission to register underage voters as defamatory and evidence-free. He challenged the lawmaker to present proof to security authorities rather than disseminating baseless claims through the media.

Ultimately, Odii reaffirmed his commitment to highlighting government shortcomings while acknowledging successes. He insisted that he would not be intimidated and remains dedicated to promoting accountable, inclusive leadership as the state moves toward the 2027 election.
