Pastor Adeboye Warns Insecurity Has Reached His Doorstep

Pastor Enoch Adeboye says rising insecurity has reached his home and urges President Tinubu to give military leaders a 90-day deadline to restore peace.

Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, recently expressed deep concern over the spread of terrorism and banditry across Nigeria. Speaking at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award gala held in Washington, he noted that the violence previously confined to the northern regions has now migrated south and is threatening his own surroundings. He described the situation as severe enough to prompt public questions regarding the presence of God.

Adeboye revealed that he has discussed these security challenges with President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi, who serves as a pastor within his church. His recommendation to the President was to issue a strict 90-day ultimatum to military leadership: eliminate these threats or step down from their positions. He argued that the government must actively pursue the wealthy politicians and business figures he identifies as the primary sponsors of these criminal activities. According to Adeboye, unless authorities identify and dismantle the networks funding and arming these groups, the cycle of violence will persist unabated.
