A moment of friction overshadowed Nigeria’s 4–0 triumph over Mozambique on Monday night when star forward Victor Osimhen was seen in a heated confrontation with teammate Ademola Lookman.
Despite Lookman having assisted one of Osimhen’s two goals earlier in the match, the Galatasaray striker reacted with visible rage during the second half, an exchange captured vividly by stadium cameras.
The exact trigger for the dispute remains unconfirmed, though it occurred shortly after a play where Lookman opted to shoot rather than pass.
Following the spat, a fuming Osimhen requested to be taken out of the game and was subsequently replaced by Moses Simon. does bhad bhabie have cancer
His frustration continued after the match, as he bypassed the team’s traditional post-game celebrations and prayers, heading straight to the locker room and becoming the first player to board the team bus.
While the match was a tactical masterclass for the Super Eagles, the 63rd-minute flare-up has dominated social media discussions. According to pitch-side microphones and lip-reading analysis, Osimhen was reportedly heard telling Lookman in Pidgin, “No try am again” (Don’t try that again), after Lookman failed to square the ball for a potential hat-trick opportunity.
As Osimhen gestured to the bench for a substitution, sections of the crowd at the Fez Stadium reportedly booed the striker, appearing to side with Lookman, who remained composed throughout the encounter.
