Omisore Denies Directing Supporters to Exit APC for Accord

Senator Iyiola Omisore has dismissed rumors that he directed his followers to join the Accord party, reiterating his commitment to the APC ahead of the August 15 election.

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has affirmed his continued loyalty to the party. He explicitly denied ordering his supporters to migrate to the Accord party in Osun State. These comments were shared during an Osun APC Elders caucus gathering in Ilobu, Irepodun local government area.

Addressing the rumors of his departure, Omisore’s campaign Director-General, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, spoke on his behalf. He stated that any claims of Omisore leaving the party are baseless fabrications. Famurewa emphasized that while some supporters chose to leave the APC due to personal grievances, they acted independently. He noted that he personally attempted to discourage those defectors from leaving.

Focusing on the upcoming August 15 election, the caucus reaffirmed their commitment to party success. Chairman Engr. Sola Akinwumi urged members to intensify mobilization efforts, asserting that the APC maintains the largest support base in the state. The caucus expressed confidence in achieving victory through active voter turnout and local engagement.
