Over the past day, the Nigeria Police Force conducted a series of successful operations across various states, resulting in the rescue of eight kidnapping victims, the apprehension of seven suspects, and the recovery of stolen assets. In Imo State, security forces prevented a kidnapping, saving seven people and retrieving two vehicles, while a similar rescue took place in Ondo State where an individual was saved and AK-47 shell casings were seized.
Investigations elsewhere led to significant outcomes. In Bayelsa, a suspect was detained regarding the theft of government goods worth ₦500 million. Katsina officers disrupted cattle rustlers, seizing a motorcycle and arresting a man linked to illicit drug distribution with 500 tablets in his possession. Other arrests occurred in Gombe for a homicide case, in Ekiti regarding stolen fertilizer, and in Sokoto where an alleged bandit informant was captured with phones and SIM cards. Additionally, an individual was taken into custody in Akwa Ibom for illegal firearm possession, and authorities in Kano recovered stolen cattle.
Ongoing police efforts include digital tracking of a missing woman in Bauchi and search operations for criminal syndicates in Niger, Kwara, Kebbi, and Nasarawa. Intelligence units in Ogun are also tracking suspects connected to a string of robberies. These nationwide actions highlight the commitment of the police to mitigating violent crime and ensuring safety throughout the country.
