Effective immediately, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has ended its partnership with Online Integrated Solution (OIS Services). Previously, this firm handled the submission and management of Nigerian visa applications across the United States.
Akinsola Akinlabi, the spokesperson for the NIS, confirmed the news in a formal announcement. He instructed all individuals needing a Nigerian visa to direct their applications to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, DC, or the consulates located in New York and Atlanta until further instructions are provided.
The NIS did not disclose why the contract with OIS Services was terminated. However, the agency stated that diplomatic missions in the US have organized the necessary resources to manage visa processing internally, promising a smooth transition for applicants.
Akinlabi encouraged those planning to apply for a visa to keep a close watch on official NIS and Nigerian mission websites for any future procedural changes. He reiterated that the immigration agency is focused on maintaining high standards for all applicants.
