Nasiru Saleh appointed as Adamawa NSCDC Commandant

Nasiru Saleh has been named the new NSCDC Commandant for Adamawa State, replacing Idris Bande and pledging to enhance operational security and community relations.

Nasiru Saleh has officially assumed the role of State Commandant for the Adamawa Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), succeeding outgoing leader Idris Bande. Following his formal transition, Saleh thanked Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi for the appointment and the confidence placed in him to lead the state operations.

The new commandant outlined his strategic vision, which includes improving operational efficiency, fostering intelligence-led security, and protecting vital national infrastructure. Furthermore, he emphasized his commitment to staff well-being and building stronger ties with the local community.

Amidu Baba, the command’s spokesperson, stated in Yola that Saleh is the 16th person to hold this position. He brings extensive experience to the role, having performed various administrative and operational duties in different commands throughout his career.
