NABTEB Sets 2026 Registration Cut-off Dates for Entrance and Certificate Exams
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially set the registration closing dates for its 2026 assessments.
The deadline for the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations is May 31, 2026, while the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) registration must be completed by May 24, 2026.
Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, confirmed these dates via a press statement released on May 13, 2026, by Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.
He noted that the registration process remains active nationwide, with digital portals updated to provide a more efficient experience.
Registration Procedures
- In-School Exams: Schools must secure slots via State Offices, use the board’s biometric software for candidate data capture, and process payments and registrations through the official web portal at mayjune.nabteb.gov.ng or school.nabteb.gov.ng.
- NCEE: Candidates can acquire personal identification numbers from State Offices to register via commonentrance.nabteb.gov.ng. Alternatively, individuals may register independently online, or schools can facilitate bulk registration after obtaining the necessary login credentials. Financial transactions for these entries are processed through student.nabteb.gov.ng.
The board leadership has encouraged guardians, schools, and students to finalize their registration requirements early to prevent technical difficulties or delays.
Dr. Mohammed emphasized the importance of submitting accurate data and strictly adhering to the published guidelines.
For assistance or further inquiries, stakeholders are encouraged to visit local State Offices or the official NABTEB websites.
