Security forces successfully freed seven captives and apprehended four individuals linked to ISWAP during recent tactical maneuvers. These missions occurred throughout Borno, Yobe, Benue, and Plateau states, resulting in the seizure of weapons and illicit equipment.
Reports indicate that Operation HADIN KAI troops secured two women and two children who fled an ISWAP hideout in Gwoza, Borno State. Additionally, a mother and her child turned themselves in after escaping the Sambisa Forest. Working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force, soldiers detained four ISWAP suspects in Gwoza, Gujba, and Kukawa. One detainee admitted to gathering intelligence on troop movements to aid terrorist logistics.
Other successes include neutralizing an insurgent via air support in Marte and safely destroying an explosive device on the Maiduguri–Gamboru road. In Katsina-Ala, Benue, Operation WHIRL STROKE teamed up with local guards to rescue four victims and take down two kidnappers, recovering rifles, ammunition, and camouflage gear. Follow-up raids in Otukpo resulted in five militia arrests.
Operations in Plateau State led to the recovery of a weapon in Bassa, while authorities in Mubi North intercepted smuggled fuel. In Rivers State, Operation DELTA SAFE personnel dismantled a clandestine oil refining site to combat resource theft.
