Military forces capture terrorist collaborators and disrupt supply chains in Borno

Military forces in Borno State detained terrorist informants, intercepted logistics supplies, and safely detonated an improvised explosive device during a series of operations.

Operation HADIN KAI soldiers have detained several individuals accused of providing intelligence and logistical support to terrorists throughout Borno State. Additionally, military units accepted the surrender of an ISWAP fighter and successfully neutralized an improvised explosive device.

Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that the 195 Battalion and the Civilian Joint Task Force apprehended an informant in Mafa Local Government Area. Authorities believe this individual provided terrorists with details concerning military movements.

In Konduga, the 73 Battalion took custody of an ISWAP militant who gave himself up. The man admitted to his role in attacks near Delwa and stated he discarded his firearm before turning himself in. Officers recovered various personal items and a small sum of cash from him.

Furthermore, troops in the Gubio Local Government Area detained another informant, who allegedly admitted to orchestrating a June 16 attack that resulted in the death of a Civilian Joint Task Force member. Elsewhere, soldiers from the 19 Battalion and 25 Brigade Garrison intercepted a group of suspected logistics providers near Damboa. These suspects escaped into the bush, leaving behind supplies including medicine, beverages, and other cargo.

Finally, the 26 Task Force Brigade located and destroyed a dangerous explosive hidden within farmland near the Sambisa Forest. These coordinated military actions aim to weaken militant networks and restore stability to the North-East region.
