Ex-Manchester United forward Michael Owen has selected Arsenal as the side most likely to secure the Premier League trophy again this year. With the 2026/27 campaign kicking off later this month, the Gunners face the challenge of defending the championship they claimed last term.
Speaking with Metro, Owen noted that multiple clubs could potentially threaten Arsenal’s dominance. He pointed out that Chelsea, free from European competition, may focus entirely on a title run. Furthermore, the arrival of new managers at both Liverpool and Manchester City could spark early momentum for those squads. Tottenham Hotspur also drew praise for their recent recruitment.
While Owen views Arsenal as the frontrunners, he cautioned that another title win is far from guaranteed. Providing his forecast for the top six, he listed the clubs as Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham in that order.
