Former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is close to finalizing a move to Paris FC. The 41-year-old has reportedly received an offer for a two-year deal that includes an optional additional season.
Rosenior is poised for a quick return to the sidelines after his brief tenure at Stamford Bridge, where he served from January to April as the replacement for Enzo Maresca. Paris FC, currently backed by the Arnault family and Red Bull, has pushed back its pre-season schedule by a week to complete the hiring process. Rosenior will replace Antoine Kombouare, who steered the team to an 11th-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
With 18 months of experience at Strasbourg—a club connected to Chelsea through BlueCo—Rosenior is familiar with French football and speaks the language. His coaching resume also includes stints at Hull City and Derby County. Meanwhile, Chelsea has tapped Xabi Alonso to take over the managerial duties starting July 1, marking the club’s sixth permanent appointment in four years.
