Hon. Excel Onuche David, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sensitisation and Mobilisation for the Kogi State Government, has formally refuted online claims suggesting that he has passed away. He labelled these reports as unfounded and malicious.
In a personal statement issued this Tuesday, Onuche explained that he has been contacted by numerous worried family members and associates. He confirmed that he is in excellent health and remains actively involved in his responsibilities within Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration.
Onuche criticised the original reports for their lack of basic verification, calling the journalism irresponsible. He noted that the false information caused significant emotional harm to his loved ones and his professional network.
The aide has demanded that all platforms remove the stories immediately. He issued a 24-hour deadline for a formal retraction and public apology, noting that he will pursue legal measures if the parties involved do not comply. Finally, he expressed gratitude to his supporters for their concern and reiterated his ongoing dedication to his role in public service.
