Kebbi APC leaders challenge Senator Maidoki over performance and political claims

Kebbi APC stakeholders have denounced Senator Garba Musa Maidoki for poor representation and have rejected his recent claims regarding political victimisation.

Members of the All Progressives Congress in Kebbi State have formally expressed disapproval of Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, who represents Kebbi South. In a Tuesday release, the group labeled the senator’s recent statements regarding state security and politics as inaccurate, further accusing him of neglecting his duties to the electorate.

The stakeholders argued that while the senator has spoken out about instability in the Zuru Emirate, he has neglected to deliver tangible constituency projects or tangible aid to those impacted by violence. They also noted his recurring absence from critical security summits involving local leaders and government officials.

Addressing claims of political exclusion, the party members clarified that Maidoki was not an APC affiliate during the party’s primary process. They additionally condemned his comments regarding the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, stating that traditional leaders must remain exempt from political conflict. They reaffirmed their support for the Emir, urging the senator to prioritize the needs of his district over divisive rhetoric.
