Itamar Ben Gvir Rejects US-Iran Accord, Asserting Israel Remains Unbound

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir declared that Israel is not bound by the US-Iran peace deal, demanding the complete dismantling of Hezbollah instead.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has publicly rejected the recent agreement between the United States and Iran aimed at halting hostilities in West Asia and Lebanon. Utilizing his Telegram channel this Monday, the minister emphasized that Israel remains entirely independent of these terms.

Ben Gvir stated clearly that the deal brokered by President Donald Trump holds no weight for Israel, as the nation was not a participant in the negotiations. He argued that the pact fails to guarantee Israeli national security, asserting that total dismantling of Hezbollah remains the only acceptable outcome.

President Trump had previously publicized the preliminary agreement, which includes provisions to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. While this announcement caused an immediate decline in global oil prices, the status of Iran’s nuclear program remains unresolved and subject to future discussions. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed on television that a memorandum between Washington and Tehran has indeed been solidified.
