The British dressage team has officially locked in their place for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This achievement followed a successful silver-medal performance at the FEI World Championships held in Aachen, Germany.
Representing Great Britain, the quartet of Fiona Bigwood, Charlotte Fry, Carl Hester, and Becky Moody accumulated a total score of 231.4 points. Germany claimed the top spot on the podium with a total of 235.0 points. Fiona Bigwood riding Donna Bella and Becky Moody with Jagerbomb established the team’s strong position during the initial phase on Tuesday. Carl Hester, mounted on Fame, and Charlotte Fry, who performed on Glamourdale and earned the team’s highest score of 80.311, solidified the silver medal finish on Wednesday.
By finishing within the top six nations, the British team successfully qualified for the upcoming Games. Alongside Germany and Great Britain, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden also secured their spots in Los Angeles.
