Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has called an emergency security assembly to assess the state’s safety conditions and bolster initiatives against recent challenges. Ahmed Idris, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, confirmed the meeting in a Wednesday announcement.
Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Haliru Wasagu, stated that officials evaluated current threats and explored methods to improve the safety of residents and their belongings. The dialogue focused on refining the state’s security framework and fostering better cooperation between various agencies to counter criminal behavior more efficiently.
Wasagu emphasized that the Governor is dedicated to empowering security personnel to eliminate illegal activity and destroy criminal havens to uphold stability. He warned that lawbreakers will be prosecuted strictly. Furthermore, the commissioner urged the public to assist authorities by sharing reliable information, noting that community involvement is essential for effective security. He also expressed appreciation for the ongoing work of security forces in keeping the region stable.
Governor Idris reaffirmed that civilian protection is a primary objective. His administration promises to continue working closely with security agencies to maintain order and defend the state.
