Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Outlines 2027 Lagos Strategy Independent of Peter Obi

Lagos ADC governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour asserts that his 2027 campaign strategy focuses on grassroots growth and community coalition-building rather than relying on external political endorsements.

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant for Lagos State, maintains that his upcoming 2027 campaign will rely on consistent grassroots engagement rather than the backing of Peter Obi or the Obidient movement. Speaking on Channels Television, Rhodes-Vivour emphasized that his political standing has evolved significantly since the 2023 elections, crediting his increased influence to localized community organizing and deep-rooted structural development.

Addressing the departure of Peter Obi from the ADC, the candidate clarified that his decision to stay with the party stems from his commitment to maintaining a robust opposition coalition capable of challenging the All Progressives Congress (APC). He highlighted that his hands-on involvement with residents impacted by recent state-led demolitions has solidified his ties to the electorate.

Rhodes-Vivour explicitly rejected assertions that his influence is limited to digital platforms, asserting that his campaign strategy prioritizes long-term planning and neighborhood-level mobilization over emotional or social media-driven trends. He remains optimistic that this foundation will lead to a successful outcome in the next gubernatorial race.
