Davido Warns Tinubu: I Will Involve Trump in Osun 2026 Election

Afrobeats artist Davido has warned President Tinubu that he will engage U.S. President Donald Trump if the Osun State governorship election is marred by irregularities.

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has sent a firm message to President Bola Tinubu. He declared that he would seek the intervention of U.S. President Donald Trump if the upcoming Osun State gubernatorial race faces any issues.

During a broadcast with entertainer Carter Efe, Davido stressed the need for a transparent and fair electoral process. He vowed that he would not stay quiet if the proceedings appear compromised, noting that he is prepared to bring global scrutiny to any reported irregularities.

This statement arrives as the August 15 election approaches, a race in which the singer’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, aims to secure another term. Davido has been a vocal supporter of his uncle’s campaign, consistently calling for the relevant authorities to uphold integrity throughout the voting period.
