Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, attended an inquiry at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Monday. The session focused on the investigation into the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, which has been identified as a questionable organization.
His legal counsel, Jiti Ogunye, verified that Gbajabiamila met with investigators in Abuja to address queries concerning the agency’s actions. Ogunye noted that his client worked closely with officials during the meeting before resuming his professional responsibilities.
A formal statement confirmed that the Chief of Staff complied with the invitation at 3:00 p.m. on July 20, 2026, following directives from the President. Earlier this month, President Tinubu ordered the ICPC to conduct a thorough probe into the PFIPC controversy. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, stated that the anti-corruption agency was given a 30-day window to finalize its findings and deliver a report.
