Members of the FCT Police Command successfully retrieved two FN FAL rifles along with live ammunition during a tactical mission targeting a criminal stronghold. SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the police, announced the success on Wednesday, noting that the raid occurred within the Dajin Madam forest, an area situated between Bauchi and Plateau states.
This initiative served as a continuation of inquiries regarding four individuals previously detained for providing weapons and drugs to criminal groups. On August 2, 2026, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit utilized intelligence gained from a detainee named Musbahu Ishaq to locate the site. Ishaq directed authorities to the forest facility used by the gang.
Police discovered that Ishaq acted as a middleman, acquiring munitions from Rabiu Hassan before delivering them to a fugitive kingpin identified as Baba Alhaji Sanusi, who is suspected to be hiding in Katsina State. Authorities are continuing their efforts to arrest all involved members, secure further illegal weapons, and bring the suspects before a court of law.
