Edo State Police have declared a movement restriction for Saturday, July 11, to ensure a secure local government election process.

The Edo State Police Command has implemented a curfew across the state ahead of the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, July 11. Residents must remain indoors between midnight and 6 pm on the day of the vote. Police spokesperson ASO Eno Ikoedem stated that this measure is intended to ensure safety and order throughout the electoral process.

Authorities are working alongside other security units to protect voters, staff, and election materials. Only essential workers, media personnel, and authorized election officials are exempt from this travel prohibition.
