Dele Momodu, a key figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has advised President Bola Tinubu to rely on his administrative achievements rather than political talk to secure a second term. During an appearance on Channels Television, Momodu stated that the 2027 presidential election will hinge on how the public evaluates the All Progressives Congress (APC) tenure.
Momodu clarified that the public does not hold a personal grudge against the President. Instead, he emphasized that voters require tangible results. He urged government supporters to shift their focus from inflammatory rhetoric to highlighting official performance records. Furthermore, he criticized the APC for frequently blaming former administrations for ongoing economic issues, arguing that the party has held power since 2015 and must take responsibility for its own governance trajectory.
Addressing the broader political landscape, Momodu commented on the friction between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar. He suggested that Obasanjo continues to actively oppose Atiku’s political aspirations. As the 2027 election approaches, President Tinubu faces potential competition from figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
