The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun State Joint Campus Committee, and the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) have publicly praised Governor Dapo Abiodun. In a joint declaration, the groups highlighted the administration’s notable progress since 2019 in sectors including education, security, infrastructure, agriculture, and industrial growth.
Comrade Habeeblahi Adekunle Tijani of NANS and Comrade Olubodun Olalekan of NAOSS spearheaded the statement. While acknowledging that no administration is perfect, the student leaders emphasized that genuine accomplishments warrant recognition. They specifically lauded the governor for renovating school facilities, recruiting teachers, and improving the overall welfare of students.
The organizations also pointed to significant road network improvements that have boosted economic connectivity. In terms of security, the student bodies expressed gratitude for the governor’s swift involvement during the rescue of seven abducted students from Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade. They further encouraged the state to continue expanding youth empowerment programs and to increase collaboration with student organizations during policy development.
