Music artist Davido has issued a warning regarding a supposed scheme to detain members of the Accord Party as the Osun State gubernatorial election approaches this Saturday.
Using his official X account on Thursday, the performer encouraged his party associates to exercise caution. Davido stated that his uncle, current Governor Ademola Adeleke, is currently positioned to win the upcoming contest.
He alerted his supporters to be wary, noting that he received information about impending arrests intended to disrupt their campaign. Despite these warnings, he urged members to remain alert and resolute in their pursuit of victory.
Recent reports highlight heightened tensions in the region, with political violence increasing ahead of the vote. Governor Adeleke has previously suggested that the rival All Progressives Congress (APC) is leveraging federal resources to pressure his base.
