David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has celebrated the Court of Appeal ruling that overturned a Federal High Court decision to deregister his party. Speaking through his media adviser, Kola Ologbondiyan, the former Senate President characterized the verdict as a significant win for Nigeria’s democratic process and legal system.
Mark noted that the ruling bolsters faith in the judiciary as a protector of democratic values and citizen rights. He argued that the initial push to remove the ADC was an attack on the country’s multiparty structure and the fundamental right to political association. The party leader commended the appellate judges for their fairness and commitment to justice.
Looking forward, Senator Mark encouraged ADC members to stay united and focused on the party’s goal of achieving success in the 2027 general elections.
