Biodun Collins Ogundipe Urges Ogun Youth to Focus on Entrepreneurship Over Job Seeking

ADC gubernatorial candidate Biodun Collins Ogundipe has called on Ogun State youth to abandon the search for government jobs in favor of building careers in AI and entrepreneurship.

Biodun Collins Ogundipe, the African Democratic Congress gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State in 2027, has challenged unemployed youth to pivot toward artificial intelligence, vocational trades, and entrepreneurship. During a gathering of graduates in Abeokuta, Ogundipe argued that the traditional reliance on government employment is outdated. He emphasized that young people must evolve into job creators to survive in the modern economy.

The candidate, who has expertise in AI, criticized current political leaders for their inability to leverage modern technology to solve systemic issues. He claimed that officials often lack the competence to convert budget allocations into tangible grassroots progress. Furthermore, Ogundipe stated that if elected, he would utilize intelligence-driven technology to restore security in Ogun State within his first year, contrasting this with the current administration’s struggles to protect farms and markets.

Olumide Onabajo, the planning committee chairman, highlighted that the event was organized to provide practical solutions. He noted that the digital economy offers graduates in Nigeria the chance to work for international firms in hubs like London or New York while remaining in the country. Wale Adebayo, a former local government chairman, also spoke at the event, reinforcing the importance of acquiring diverse skills such as ICT and physical trades to ensure personal economic independence.
