Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the upcoming August 15 election, has promised to prioritize security to foster economic prosperity in Osun State. During a Sunday meeting at the Osun State Muslim Community Secretariat in Osogbo, he emphasized that the state’s founders intended for unity rather than religious division.
Oyebamiji revealed that he has assembled a task force to address urgent needs in healthcare, education, agriculture, power, and employee welfare. He pledged that his administration would move away from current practices by ensuring resources are distributed fairly across all local regions. A practicing Muslim, Oyebamiji expressed full confidence in his victory on August 15, 2026, and vowed to maintain a peaceful environment throughout the electoral process.
Alhaji Mustapha Olawuyi, President of the Osun State Muslim Community, welcomed the candidate and praised his long-standing history with the community. While clarifying that the organization remains non-partisan, Olawuyi urged Oyebamiji to uphold justice and equity in resource allocation and to respect Islamic law if elected.
