A two-story residential structure fell on Thursday near the Alakija Bus Stop on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, leading to the successful rescue of ten individuals. Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, verified the event through an official announcement.

Emergency crews from the Ijegun-Egba Fire Station were dispatched after a distress call arrived at 11:37 a.m., reaching the Old Ojo Road location by 11:49 a.m. to begin extraction efforts. All ten people pulled from the site sustained injuries and were moved into the care of medical workers for treatment. Multiple agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Navy, Federal Fire Service, and the Red Cross, are currently working together at the site.
