Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Extends Celtic Stay for Another Year

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed a one-year contract extension with Celtic following his successful contribution to the club’s domestic trophy haul last season.

Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has secured a one-year contract extension with Celtic. The 32-year-old, who previously played for England, arrived at the Glasgow club this past February after his stint at Besiktas ended.

During his initial period with the team, he recorded 12 appearances and netted a late winning goal in his debut against Livingston. He played a supporting role as the team successfully defended their league title and secured the Scottish Cup under manager Martin O’Neill. Following these achievements, O’Neill opted to retain the midfielder for the upcoming season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain shared his enthusiasm for the agreement on the official club website, noting that the previous season’s success made his decision easy. His partner, Perrie Edwards, had also previously voiced support for the family remaining in Scotland. The player is expected to join the squad for their training camp in Portugal after they complete a preliminary trip to Ireland for a match against Shelbourne.
