Federico Chiesa has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool, stating his primary focus remains on the club despite persistent rumors regarding his future. Since arriving from Juventus for £12.5m in 2024, the 28-year-old has managed five goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.
Following Liverpool’s 4-2 pre-season victory over Sunderland, which marked the debut of new manager Andoni Iraola, Chiesa expressed his current satisfaction at Anfield. He stated that he is working hard to earn a spot in the team and is currently dedicated solely to Liverpool. The Italian forward acknowledged that while the previous season under Arne Slot was challenging due to limited playing time, he is now focused on adapting to the requirements of the new coaching staff.
Although he previously hinted in June that he might explore other options if he failed to gain consistency, Chiesa now views this season as a fresh start. He emphasized that he is putting his past frustrations aside to prove his worth under Iraola, noting that his role in the previous campaign was entirely at the discretion of the former manager.
