Ahmad Lawan, Mohammed Adoke, and Others Set to Attend Ezrel Tabiowo’s Book Launch

High-profile dignitaries are gathering in Abuja for the launch of Ezrel Tabiowo’s new book on the history and functions of Nigeria’s legislature.

Prominent figures including former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, former Attorney-General Mohammed Bello Adoke, and Senator Ita Enang are slated to gather in Abuja this Monday. The event marks the debut of a new publication regarding the Nigerian legislative branch.

Authored by Ezrel Tabiowo, who serves as a media aide to Ahmad Lawan, the 530-page volume is titled The Nigerian Legislature: Understanding Its Impact on Democratic Governance and National Development. The text explores the history and functional evolution of the legislature, moving from pre-colonial systems through military rule to the current Fourth Republic structure.

The work examines core legislative duties such as oversight, lawmaking, and appropriation, offering suggestions to improve institutional efficacy. Forewords for the book were provided by Victor Ndoma-Egba and Mohammed Bello Adoke. Senator Ita Enang is tasked with reviewing the book, while Prof. Abubakar Suleiman will present it.

Ahmad Lawan will act as the chief host for the ceremony, which takes place at the National Assembly Library Conference Hall in Abuja on July 13, 2026, starting at noon. Tabiowo, who has an extensive background in legislative reporting and communications, utilized his career expertise to compile the analysis.
