Governor Dauda Lawal has made it clear that his administration refuses to engage in peace deals with criminal gangs. He stated that security forces will maintain their offensive posture until these groups either surrender or are punished according to the law. This message was delivered by the governor’s Chief of Staff, Mukhtar Musa, during the opening of a new secretariat for the Association of Zamfara State Indigenes in Kaduna this past Sunday.
Musa emphasized that the state government is dedicated to enhancing regional safety by working closely with security agencies. The administration intends to keep providing essential equipment, logistical support, and resources to personnel fighting against banditry. The chief of staff called on citizens to contribute to these security efforts by reporting any suspicious behavior to the proper authorities.
Addressing the association, chairman Garba Balarabe celebrated the secretariat’s opening as a significant achievement for Zamfara natives residing in Kaduna. The ceremony drew a large crowd, including traditional leaders, government representatives, and community members from various regions.
