Timi Dakolo Fires Back With “Evidence” of Femi Lazarus Charging for Ministry School After Pastor Criticized Gospel Artists for Church Fees
Timi Dakolo has accused Pastor Femi Lazarus of hypocrisy after the pastor criticized gospel artists for charging fees to minister in churches.
The exchange between Dakolo and Lazarus has been ongoing, with the singer responding to the pastor’s repeated criticism of gospel musicians requesting payment for their services.
Recently, Pastor Lazarus shared a screenshot of an invoice from a gospel artist detailing specific demands for themselves and their crew before performing at a church. He condemned the practice, arguing that ministry should not come with a price tag (read here).

In response, Timi Dakolo shared a screenshot of an email allegedly sent by the Femi Lazarus International School of Ministry to a religious student. The email indicated that the student was required to pay $150 or its Naira equivalent of NGN181,200 at the time in 2024.
Dakolo questioned why Pastor Lazarus opposed gospel singers receiving payment for their services while he and other pastors accepted payments for theirs.
