Nigerian Music Star 2Baba Apologises Over Controversial Comment On Male Fidelity

Renowned Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has issued a public apology to his wife Natasha, his children, and fans following backlash over a statement many perceived as endorsing infidelity.

The controversy erupted after his appearance on a podcast where he asserted that while a man can truly love one woman, he is not biologically designed to remain sexually exclusive.

“A man can love one woman to death,” he said, “but sexually, it’s not possible for him to be with just one. That’s how men are built.”

The statement triggered widespread criticism on social media, with many accusing him of rationalising cheating, although some labeled it a “bitter truth.”

In a video posted Tuesday night, the singer backtracked, describing his earlier remark as “unlegendary” and out of character. He expressed deep remorse and took full responsibility for the fallout.

“I know I messed up with that comment, and I know cancellation is coming,” he admitted. “I sincerely apologise to my fans, my wife Natasha the love of my life and my children. I’m really sorry. That’s not who I am.”
