Content creators Broda Mike and Mario Wazobia have formally requested the arrest of an individual identified as Veryblackman, an associate of the Ratel group, following public threats made against comedian DeeOne. In a video circulated on social media over the weekend, Veryblackman explicitly stated his intent to physically harm or kill DeeOne upon their next encounter, noting he was prepared for the potential legal consequences, including imprisonment.
The footage has sparked alarm among Nigerian celebrities and the public alike. Mario Wazobia questioned the motives behind the aggression, pointing out that there is no personal history between the two. He emphasized that DeeOne should not ignore such a direct public threat, suggesting the assailant might be genuinely dangerous.
Broda Mike also addressed the situation, urging DeeOne to involve law enforcement immediately. He warned that the explicit nature of the threats, which included claims that even security personnel would not prevent the attack, poses a genuine danger to the comedian’s safety. Veryblackman, who is known for his affiliation with the Ratel movement, remains a controversial figure alongside his associate, VeryDarkMan. DeeOne, who is known for frequently criticizing the pair, has yet to announce if he will pursue formal legal action.
