Music icon Davido has publicly commented on a disturbing video showing the death of Sunday Obube, an Accord Party member. Reports indicate that Obube was murdered by alleged political thugs one day prior to the Osun State gubernatorial election.
The attack took place around 6:00 a.m. on Friday within the Omi Eran Atijo area of Ilesa West Local Government. Witnesses stated that the victim was pursued by his attackers before they successfully caught and killed him.
Sharing his thoughts on X, the artist expressed his condolences, stating that he hopes the deceased finds peace. This reaction follows recent criticism Davido directed at Senator Francis Fadahunsi. The Senator previously faced backlash after a video emerged of him instructing followers to attack any Accord Party members encountered before the August 15, 2026, election.
