Alex Scott and Antony see red in Bournemouth-Real Betis draw

Bournemouth and Real Betis played to a 2-2 draw in a pre-season match marred by red cards for Alex Scott and Antony after a physical confrontation.

Bournemouth finished their pre-season exhibition match against Real Betis in a 2-2 tie. The game was marked by an on-field altercation in Seville that resulted in dismissals for both Alex Scott of Bournemouth and Antony of Real Betis.

Tensions flared shortly before the interval when Betis player Nelson Deossa struck the ball at Bafode Diakite following a foul. This action initiated a scuffle between the two squads, leading the official to issue red cards to both Scott and Antony for their involvement.

Regarding the scoring, Marcus Tavernier netted the opener for Bournemouth in the 41st minute, while Cucho Hernandez leveled the score in the 57th. Evanilson reclaimed the lead for Bournemouth, but Pablo Fornals secured a late equalizer for the La Liga side.

Bournemouth will face German club Mainz on August 15 in their final preparation match. Their Premier League season officially begins on August 23 against Manchester City.
