The Nigerian Super Falcons are scheduled to touch down in Rabat this Friday to participate in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Having served as the title holders, the team arrives with the goal of repeating their success. Justine Madugu led the squad to a training camp in Casablanca last Monday to prepare for the upcoming competition.
The team currently counts 25 athletes at their Marriott Hotel headquarters, with Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun joining the ranks late Friday evening. Representatives from the Confederation of African Football and the Local Organizing Committee are set to conduct an official welcome for the Nigerian delegation on Saturday.
Ahead of their tournament campaign, Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars during a practice match on Friday. Their quest to retain the championship officially commences next Tuesday at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, where they will face Malawi’s Scorchers.
