Bruno Guimaraes has disclosed that Declan Rice reached out to him via message prior to his transfer to Arsenal. The Brazilian international finalized a 75 million pound move to the Emirates Stadium from Newcastle United.
Although the pair frequently clashed on the pitch during previous campaigns, Guimaraes is eager to partner with Rice in what he considers an elite European midfield unit. Recounting the interaction, Guimaraes shared, “Rice sent me a message stating, ‘Come here and please no more fights, now we are friends.'”
Guimaraes expressed excitement about joining his new colleagues, noting that he holds the current Arsenal midfield in high regard. He believes the squad possesses a group of outstanding players and is keen to integrate into the team dynamic.
