President Bola Tinubu has selected Yakubu Jang, the son of Jonah Jang, the former Plateau State Governor, to serve as a Senior Special Assistant within the Presidency.
Vice President Kashim Shettima shared the news this Saturday while representing the President at a dual event in Jos. The gathering celebrated the 80th birthday of Jonah David Jang and marked the release of his autobiography.
During his speech, Shettima confirmed the new role, stating that the President is happy to bring the younger Jang onto his staff. The announcement took place before a notable crowd that included former President Goodluck Jonathan and the current Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang. Other dignitaries at the ceremony included Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas and Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo. Also in attendance were several high-ranking officials such as APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, former Deputy Speaker Ahmed Idris Wase, former Minister Pauline Tallen, and Senator Napoleon Bali.
