The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has returned N108 million to Greenwich Planet Sun King Nigeria Limited in Lagos. These funds were retrieved during an inquiry into a fraud case involving two of the company’s previous employees.
According to an official statement, the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the EFCC delivered the money via bank drafts on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. This amount represents a portion of the capital identified during the probe into allegations of forgery, theft, office abuse, and fund diversion.
The EFCC stated that the suspects, former Chief Financial Officer Godson Eze and Nkechi Gladys Megai, allegedly abused their roles to create bogus invoices. Megai has since fled to the United Kingdom, and the fraudulent activities involved hundreds of millions of naira in total. Assistant Commander Bawa Usman Kaltungo, the Acting Zonal Director, noted that the commission remains dedicated to securing justice for victims and reclaiming assets. The agency is actively pursuing all individuals linked to the crime, including those who have left the country.
Legal representatives for the firm expressed gratitude for the EFCC’s thorough investigative work and professional approach. They noted that the return of these funds will significantly help the company offset its financial damages.
