Danladi Ya’u, who served as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman in Gombe State, has declared his departure from the party to align with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This move comes as the region prepares for the 2027 gubernatorial election.
In a formal communication dated Monday, Ya’u informed the ward chairmen of Kwado, Kiji, and Kurba of his decision. He explained that his primary motivation for switching parties is his firm belief in the vision of Professor Isa Ali Pantami, the former minister and PDP gubernatorial hopeful.
In his resignation statement, Ya’u confirmed that he is relinquishing his roles as both the former State Chairman and the acting State Auditor for the ADC. He underscored his commitment to supporting Professor Pantami’s campaign as the state moves toward the next election cycle.
