Vice President JD Vance Welcomes Fourth Child with Wife Usha

Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha have welcomed their fourth child, Alec Neel Vance, marking the first birth for a sitting vice president in over a century.

Vice President JD Vance has shared the arrival of his fourth child, a son named Alec Neel Vance, born this past Sunday. The Vice President confirmed the news through a social media statement, noting that his wife, Usha Vance, and the infant are both in good health. He expressed his gratitude toward the medical team at Walter Reed Medical Center for their professional care.

This birth marks a rare historical event, as it is the first time a sitting vice president has welcomed a child in over 150 years. President Donald Trump publicly offered his congratulations to the family. The new addition joins three older siblings: Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel.

Usha Vance, a daughter of immigrants from Andhra Pradesh, India, first met her husband while they were both studying at Yale Law School in 2010. JD Vance has frequently advocated for policies encouraging larger families in the United States. In his recent book, the Vice President shared personal reflections on the pregnancy, describing it as a meaningful turn of events following the passing of his friend, Charlie Kirk.
