Governor Sanwo-Olu and other notable leaders gathered in Lagos to celebrate Engr. Samuel Egube for his impactful contributions to public service.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu emphasized that merit, integrity, and competence are the core pillars for appointments within his administration. He made these remarks while attending an event in Lagos honoring his Deputy Chief of Staff, Engr. Samuel Egube, for his significant service to the state.

Held at the MUSON Centre, the event was titled “Celebrating Excellence, Service and Impact.” It was attended by notable figures including Vanguard Media Publisher Sam Amuka, the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, various political leaders, and members of the Urhobo and Isoko communities.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Egube as a reliable official whose advancement was earned through talent rather than ethnic origin. Olorogun Moses Taiga, who chaired the ceremony, echoed these sentiments by describing Egube as an exemplary representative of the Urhobo and Isoko people.

In his response, Egube thanked the community for the recognition and stated that it motivates him to continue serving the public. He encouraged young Nigerians to prioritize hard work and discipline in their careers. The celebration included cultural displays, musical acts, and the presentation of a Leadership Excellence Award.
