APC National Chairman Yilwatda Explains Meeting with Kwankwaso Associate Hanga

APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda describes his meeting with Senator Rufai Hanga as an effort to prioritize Kano State’s development over political party differences.

Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently visited Senator Rufai Hanga, a key associate of Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso. Yilwatda stated that the objective of this meeting was to foster harmony, progress, and stability within Kano State. Released in a formal statement on Thursday, the update clarified that the dialogue centered on collective governance and how leaders from opposing political factions might effectively collaborate.

Yilwatda emphasized that political party affiliations should not hinder leaders from pursuing the common good. He argued that national development relies on prioritizing public welfare over partisan competition and building channels for meaningful conversation. This meeting occurs amidst reports of internal friction between Senator Hanga and Kwankwaso, sparked by the senator’s recent candid remarks. Hanga’s frustration reportedly stems from losing his political ticket to Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and claims that Kwankwaso considered naming his own son, Mustapha Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, as the gubernatorial candidate.
